Teaching assignment for the lecture “Noise Protection in Urban Planning”
M. Jäcker-Cüppers was up to 2009
scientific employees in the Federal Office for Environment, Dessau,
last as a director/conductor in the field “Noise Reduction in
Traffic”.
Since winter 2001/02 he has a teaching assignment
for the lecture “Noise Protection in Urban Planning” at the
TUB-ISTA. The lecture is part of the module TA3, together with the
both subjects Psychoacoustic and Noise Impact Assessment.
The
lecture is suited for students of city and regional planning,
architecture, traffic engineering, acoustics, environmental
protection, building engineering etc.
After an introduction to
the acoustic bases, strategies, instruments and measures for the
reduction of the noise are described. Emphasis is thereby the traffic
as the most important source of noise.
